The World Health Organization has quarantined an island nation due to an outbreak of a nasty illness. RVA Students must work collaboratively to purchase materials, build a device, and deliver necessary medical goods, food, (and chocolate!) to Toxic Island’s ill inhabitants before time runs out. Can RVA students work together to save the island, or will it perish?!

Schedule of Events:
10:00 - 10:30 Introduction, Explanation, Group Work, and Brainstorming
10:30 -11:00 Research and Solution Development. Students will draw a plan for approval including purchasing orders for international purchases
11:00 - 1:00 International Building Supply Locations begin to open and teams can begin to purchase materials, build a prototype, and test their device
11:30 Pizza Lunch and Teambuilding
1:00 - 1:30 Toxic Island! The devices will be put to the test
1:30 - 2:00 Awards Ceremony (Parents encouraged to attend)
