The Rube Goldberg Machine Contest is a contest in which students build devices to complete a simple task in a minimum of twenty steps in the style of American cartoonist Rube Goldberg. Students will be split into teams given a variety of materials with which to build a machine to catch a mouse! Given their materials, students will work to create a complex but working prototype of their machine!

Schedule of Events:
12:00 - 12:30 Introduction, Explanation, Group Work, and Brainstorming
12:30 - 1:00 Pizza Lunch and Teambuilding
1:00 1:30 Research and Solution Development.
1:30 - 3:00 Teams will build their machine
3:00 - 3:30 Machine Viewing! We will go to each group and see how the machines work. Whichever group has the highest number of working steps will be the winner!
